A village on the northern coast of Chile has perfected the ancient art of collecting water from fog, notes

Wellbeing (#76). With a network of 75 frame and mesh collectors that trap water when the early-morning fog rolls through, the system captures some 11,000 liters of fresh water each day, enough to serve the needs of the village's 340 inhabitants. Similar projects are under way in Peru, Ecuador, Namibia, and Oman.
