Smith has compiled a list of more than 100 murders by combing
newspaper and police reports, and working with sympathetic
organizations. 'I am attempting to provide a way to preserve the
memories of those who have fallen along the way, as well as make a
statement about these human beings who were treated as something
much less than that,' says Smith.
