rap, R&B, and jazz with an information clearinghouse for
fledgling social activists. Patrons can learn about upcoming
demonstrations, sign up for internships, and gather bulletin board
information on issues ranging from Tibet to animal rights. 'The
club maintains the heartbeat of a live show, with the ability to go
beyond rock 'n' roll,' says owner Peter Shapiro.
