Are you a faithful watcher of
The Sopranos? Did you love the
movie
Goodfellas? If so, you may want to check out
The
Frank and Fritzy Show, a weekly Webcast taken directly from
FBI wire taps. During a period from 1985 to 1986, the FBI listened
in on the daily conversations of one Federico 'Fritzy' Giovanelli,
a Genovese crime family soldier. While the Feds hoped to gain
information about Giovanelli's mob exploits, most of what they
heard was the day-to-day gossip and kvetching of a couple of old
hens. Frank 'Frankie California' Condo, a fellow Genovese soldier,
has nearly daily conversations with Fritsy where the two talk about
everything from impotence to Mussolini. You'd swear by the voices
that the tapes were scripted were it not for the rambling and often
hilarious banality of the dialog. Each week a new show is posted,
complete with a written transcript. Sometimes, as in this case,
real life is much funnier than fiction.
