Like most new stadiums these days, Denver’s football palace was built with the help of “naming rights,” a multi-million-dollar deal that allows a corporate entity to brand itself a friend of local sports fans. But, according to The Progressive Review (Aug. 8, 2001), the name Invesco Field apparently hasn’t caught on in the Denver Post newsroom.
