Do you live in a place where you can't see the stars because
there's too much light? Maybe you should move to the Czech
Republic, which on June 3 became the first nation to enact a 'light
pollution' law.
Science News reports that the new law
requires that 'all outdoor light fixtures in the country be
shielded to ensure that light goes only in the direction intended,
and not above the horizontal.'
