Web site review by Julie Madsen
This site manages to be simultaneously quirky and serious about the
often grave subject of human scientific experimentation, and offers
a take on bioethics from possibly the most firsthand account there
is--the human guinea pig.
Guinea Pig Zero bills
itself as 'an occupational jobzine for people who are used as
medical or pharmaceutical research subjects' with real-life
accounts and resources that may prove helpful if you're considering
becoming a subject; but the site's assortment of true stories,
historical facts, news, research, evaluations of particular
research facilities by volunteers, and 'reviews, poetry and fiction
relating to the disposability of plebeian life' will fascinate even
those who won't be serving themselves up in the name of science any
time soon.
