Study shows mistaken impressions about Iraq war fed by TV news...
The folks at Rhesus Monkey Magazine aren’t very impressed with the U.S. government’s poster propaganda for the war on terrorism. Today’s propaganda tries to convince Americans that it’s patriotic to purchase and consume. Why not donate and conserve instead? In the spirit of conserving, this magazine has recycled old WWII posters and switched words like Hitler with Bin Laden and others from the contemporary cast of evildoers. War time is no time for the U.S. government to be spending money on new scare tactics when yesterday’s methods still work--dust ‘em off and mix up the wheat paste. Or as Rhesus says, “Reuse and abuse. It’s what we’re best at.”
