Staff Iraq Body Count Website
Inspired by the work of Professor Marc Herold, who compiled the
most accurate account of casualties in the war in Afghanistan, the
Iraq Body Count web site counts the dead in the current war in Iraq
not as a propaganda tool, but in order to sort out the
conflicting?and often politicized?body counts. Still, U.S. citizens
should understand how much destruction is being inflicted in their
name. This is the only site that surveys both online media reports
and eyewitness accounts?including 38 news network sources, ranging
from Fox News to Al Jazeera. The site?s authors provide both
minimum and maximum casualty numbers to account for both
conservative and inflated claims.
