In a surprising move, the Green Party?s Matt Gonzalez was
elected by his colleagues as president of the San Francisco Board
of Supervisors, as the city council is known. ?The Greens, and
Gonzalez,? reports The San Francisco Bay Guardian
(Jan. 15, 2003), ?will have to prove very quickly, in bad economic
times, that they are as good at governing as they are at
protesting.?
