Since August of 1999, breast cancer campaigner Polly Letofsky
has been walking the globe to promote awareness and raise money to
fight the disease. She publishes a journal of her adventures at
www.globalwalk.org. Her entries range from entertaining
tales of life on the road to tips for low-budget travelers to
moving accounts of the many cancer survivors she has met along the
way. In each country she visits, local Lions Clubs are working with
her to raise money. In early June, Letofsky entered Canada, her
23rd country?she?s already tackled New Zealand, Australia, India,
the Middle East, and Europe. Her 18,000-mile trek around the globe
winds up later this year when she returns to her home in Vail,
Colorado.
