George W. Bush declared the ?War on Terrorism? ?the first war of the 21st century? almost like a boy proudly claims a newfound toy. Soon after followed the knee-jerk USA PATRIOT Act, a misguided piece of follow-the-leader legislation ushering in a new era of human rights violations. Writing for LAWeekly.com, Christine Pelisek has compiled a mile-long list of post 9/11 ?accomplishments? and statistics facilitated by the expanded reach the PATRIOT Act granted to federal offices and the creation of the Homeland Security department.
