Dennis Hans Liberal Slant
Alas, life won?t be the same without David Brinkley, writes
Dennis Hans in a Liberal Slant essay. With Brinkley?s
?softball questions? and so-called ?wide range panels? featuring
pundits stretching from the extreme right all the way to the
moderate center, Hans could always count on This Week With
David Brinkley to deliver the ?wide-range, no-holds barred,
free-for all? that only occurs when staunch conservatives butt
heads with lukewarm liberals. Most memorably, Brinkley provided
Hans with ?a small fortune ? nearly $300? for the pleasure of
satirizing his work. Not to mention a plethora of raucous memories
for that other rabble-rouser, Sam Donaldson.
