Yes, when language woes plague thy soul, or merely your
red-ink-ridden paper, the Good Doctor English is there to provide
relief. Write him at
gooddoctorenglish@yahoo.com,
and he will 'field your English language questions, be they
concerns about the existential nature of the lowly comma or the
pros and cons of dating your literature professor.' The Good Doctor
may not always be technically correct, but his wit entertains, and
his advice is more accessible than those silly college copy-editing
courses. After all, as the Good Doctor says: '. . . grammar isn't a
set of rules that one memorizes, but a living, complex, evolving,
entity that must be experienced, enjoyed, and accepted for what it
is. In other words, grammar is much like a woman.'
