According to Sustainable Industries Journal (July 2005), the nation's greenest utilities combine ready access to renewable energy sources with effective marketing to reach environmentally savvy customers. And for the third year in a row, the U.S. Department of Energy deems Austin Energy in Texas 'the top U.S. utility in terms of energy sales' for generating 38.2 average megawatts (aMV) using wind, landfill gas, and hydropower.
