Why Conservatives Are So Grouchy

Right-wing politics may be, literally, a nightmare. As
The
Week (July 28, 2001) reports, researchers at the Association
for the Study of Dreams in Vienna, Virginia, have found that half
of the political conservatives they surveyed reported having
nightmares (being chased, going bald, being trapped in a room with
a bear, something ghastly happening to their children, were the
most common). Leftists, on the other hand, slept more peacefully,
with only 18 percent reporting nightmares. Liberal women tended to
dream about babies or family members, while the guys dreamed about
their lovers.
