Spike Lee is one of the most influential filmmakers of our time. His engaging, complex portrayals of African-American and inner-city life in such films as She's Gotta Have It, School Daze, Do The Right Thing, Mo' Better Blues, Jungle Fever, Crooklyn and Malcolm X have set the tone for race relations in the '90's. He is a director, actor, screenwriter and the founder of Forty Acres and a Mule Filmworks. He has just completed his eigth film, Clockers and is at work on the Jackie Robinson Saga to be released in 1997.
