English is dying, according to Annalee Newitz, and will soon be replaced by Internet English and other dialects. Could the death of English be a good thing?

LMAO, what do you mean? IMO that is just whacked. BTW this ain't snark, LOL. IDK what you could possibly mean...FYI, I don't even stress about it AFAIK this has been going on for awhile now and just gets worse and worse. ADN people won't talk at all.  Kids these days can't spell anymore either, WYSIWYG though right? Anywho, ya just gotta POAHF, there's likely only MTF so PMFBIB just had to SMP sometimes I just LTM at what I see on the internet, then there's test msgs too and I can't help but LSHMBH, KWIM?

Sometimes ITIGTBS at all this dumbing down in america! Kids are already doing this IRL!!! IAE, what can we do about it? I mean GMAB, it's everywhere. FWIW there are worse things out there...maybe. Just can't think of any right now.

Good answer Miss Understood! *grin*

PS
Personally, I think changes in a language are a good thing. For a long time, English has stagnated because of the rules created over 200 years ago. Language was meant to change, just as people change. Maybe not with the texting abbreviations, but certainly change is important.

I USED to be an English teacher, btw.
