Utne Reader has big plans for South by Southwest again this March in Austin, Texas.
Everything is set for the Official SXSW College Party at Flamingo Cantina on Thursday March 19th. Live music brought to you by Utne Reader and Team Clermont. It all starts at 12 pm and features Mirah, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, Modern Skirts, Slaraffenland, Telekinesis, Ruby Isle, Rafter, and Loney Dear.
Later that day, Utne Reader will present the Americana Music Association Showcase at SXSW. Starting at 8 pm, come to the Historic Antone’s on 6th Street to see Raul Malo, Carrie Rodriguez, Band of Heathens, Justin Townes Earle, and Keep Your Soul: A Tribute to Doug Sahm with Texas Tornados, Shawn Sahm , Augie Meyers, Flaco Jimenez, and the West Side Horns with Special Guests: Jimmy Vaughan, Dave Alvin. Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles and the Gourds
