Are You Into Bookshelf Porn?

bookshelves

These days, the word porn has morphed into a blanket term meaning raw, unfiltered stuff and/or things. For example, people refer to “food porn” when they’re perusing beautiful, extremely focused and well-lit pictures of delicious-looking food. The usage pops up all the time, but this may be a personal favorite: It's called Bookshelf Porn, and ‘tis dope. Maybe you’re not into bookshelves. In which case I pity the fool.

(Thanks, Swiss Miss.)

... no doubt slightly more popular than VHSshelfporn and CDshelfporn, and up there with manualtypewriterporn. Where can I find buggywhipporn and slideruleporn?

Jeffrey I do agree;but some of us who like hard bound - beautiful - book -editions cannot afford them and we are happy being able to purchase cheaper version of a paper backs as long as words between the covers stay the same. Bookshelves tell volumes about the owner who filled them. I'm not a Republican even though I found the shelves , featured , attractive and colorful ;-)

There's something a bit too bright, white, aseptic, square about this photo...probly a Republican? Looks like a lot of shiny new stuff...videos? What really turns me on are collections with warmer wood-tones, handsome older books of deeply philosophical, spiritual/metaphysical matters...with many layers of wisdom of many ages...Oh, and what really takes me to the edge are those books aged at least a few decades with that uniqely subtle sweet book-scent rising from amber pages...
