Glam It Up With Midnight Opera

Watch Midnight Opera perform songs from their debut album The Mesmerist.

Dallas-based Midnight Opera (formerly Siamese) recently visited the Hear Here Presents loft space in Milwaukee to perform songs from their album The Mesmerist. The four-piece band live in a makeup-heavy, glitter world where synchronized dancing can break out at any moment. Midnight Opera’s synths are whirly, their bass is fuzzy, their guitar is ever-morphing, and their drums are tasteful and precise. At the front of the stage, singers Teddy Waggy and Nicole Marxen-Myers are transfixing with their open, cinematic voices, wide-eyed gloom stares, and cemetery ghost shrieks.

Watch and listen to them perform “Older Hands Prevail”, “Goldmind”, and “Stars Grow Cold” in the video above. Catch Midnight Opera live this fall on their Fall Tour dates listed below.
