300 Love Letters, Web site review by Al
Paulson
Has e-mail sent the art of letter writing the way of the telegraph
and the Pony Express? Was there something special about holding the
same piece of paper that the author held? Probably struggling with
these same questions, a woman named Asia mailed 300 personal
letters (as she’d write them to friends, lovers, crushes, family)
to complete strangers. More curious still, she glued the letters to
the outside of the envelope. ‘Is this project complicated or
simple, idiotic or interesting?’ she asks visitors to her Web site.
After reading the letters, the answer is simple: Very
Interesting.
