for the Public, revolutionizes the way information is shared by
people working to create positive social change worldwide. It even
pays $50 for the best new ideas. ?The major problem faced by social
entrepreneurs? the website states, ?is the lack of access to
current relevant practices beyond their own area of expertise.?
Without a commons of information, people working to solve problems
wind up reinventing the wheel. Changemakers creates a forum for
synthesizing and disseminating solutions to ongoing problems such
as water scarcity, poverty, and hunger. Each month the site focuses
on a special topic and features a resource library, community
message board, and a studio of archived projects.
