Native Programming

A first-of-its-kind television network launches in Canada

| March-April 2000

As Aboriginal Voices (Oct.-Nov. 1999) notes, the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) reaches nearly 8 million cable-wired Canadian households, offering arts, documentaries, public affairs, newscasts, children’s shows, and sports programming 18 hours a day.
