Animal rights purists can now get hip to the newest Doc Marten foot fashion without feeling like they’re betraying their vegan beliefs, writes The Animals’ Agenda (March-April 2000). Made from a microfiber called Lorica, the new “vegetarian” boots answer a demand the company says it’s been hearing for years without resorting to using plastic, vinyl, or other cheap synthetics.
