Wearing Your E-mail Address

A Zurich-based company introduces a line of cyber-inspired clothing

| July-August 2000

In a bizarre marriage of media and fashion, a Zurich-based company called Skim.com has introduced a line of clothing designed to invite cyber correspondence. As I.D. magazine (March-April 2000) explains it, the clothing is printed or embroidered with an e-mail address to be observed by passersby. Simply take a turn around the block, then check your Skim.com e-mail account to see who noticed. Later, protect yourself from stalkers by forwarding any nasty messages to your local law enforcement agencies.
