The Social Venture Network Innovation Awards, presented by Utne Reader, recognize a new generation of social entrepreneurs who are changing the way the world does business. The awardees exemplify Social Venture Network’s (SVN) goal of creating a just economy and sustainable practices by bringing creativity, passion, and tenacity to solving some of the world’s most pressing problems. These awardees have proven their dedication to the transformation of communities, the economy, and the environment.
“We believe that the best solutions emerge from connecting transformational ideas and passionate leaders in new ways,” says SVN executive director Deb Nelson. “As social entrepreneurs seek ways to address increasingly urgent social and environmental challenges, they face the innovation imperative. We created the Social Venture Network Innovation Awards to honor and support highly innovative social enterprises, bring them into the SVN community, and give them access to a network of successful entrepreneurs, investors, and leaders who can help them expand their impact.”
