Film Review: All or Nothing

The slow deflation of Cold War paranoia has given way to new fears about nuclear annihilation: deteriorating Soviet-era military infrastructure, bubbling animosity from Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian fundamentalist groups, and security loopholes in America’s vast shipping industry. Now, with the passage of the New START arms treaty, Congress has rededicated itself to allaying those anxieties and reining in the proliferation of nuclear weapons. Countdown to Zero wears its agenda–complete, global disarmament–on its sleeve, but peace is a fashion that never goes out of style.
