Reggio brought the epic, imagistic films Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi, and Anima Mundi (fused with original scores by the composer Phillip Glass) to cinemas worldwide. The film director, producer, and writer is involved in the creation of Fabrica-Futuro Presente, an extraordinary school in Villorba, Italy, that will provide workshops and projects in a wide range of media, allowing students to “re-present and re-see the contemporary world of mass scale, globalization, hyper-reality and the technological environment” in a hopeful, creative, and global light.
