Video: Bernie Sanders on The Daily Show

<p>In the most recent issue of <i>Utne Reader,</i> U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders <a title=”calls on Americans to act now” href=”https://www.utne.com/politics/call-to-action-wealth-senator-bernie-sanders.aspx”>calls on Americans to act now</a> against a “handful of Republicans” who want “to bring this country back to where we were in the 1920s.” It is an impassioned call for help from the longest serving independent member of Congress in American history. “There is a war going on in this country,” the senator writes, “and I am not referring to the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. I am referring to the war waged by the wealthiest people in America on the shrinking middle class of our country.” </p>
