Artist Chrissy Conant used her ovaries as a medium to
createhigh-tech art, and the result is Chrissy Caviar. With a
littlehelp from an embryologist and an endocrinologist, Conant
haspackaged her embryos in glass jars and labeled them for sale.
Sheeven came up with a marketing campaign complete with
deli-styledisplay cases, promotional floaty pens, and ‘Making
ChrissyCaviar,’ the DVD. She mocks consumer’s desires for luxury
itemsand jokes that she hopes that her product will pass Beluga
caviaras the current ultimate in luxury. Her exibit will be
displayedat New York’s Stefan Stux Gallery through January 4th,
2003.
