Declassified: Covert Crime

Contrary to popular belief, the so-called ?shadow government? of
conspiracy theorists may not be some post 9/11 invention. According
to Gene Wheaton, key whistle-blower in the Iran-Contra affair, its
roots date back to the firing of hundreds of CIA agents in 1977.
Realizing they already had a hand in most government operations,
the most prominent former agents plotted to usurp control of the
government, in small increments, over time. ?Reagan never really
was the president. He was the front man,? asserts Wheaton in an
interview on Declassified Radio/em>, a syndicated program
produced in St. Paul, Minnesota. ?[T]hey got George Bush in there
to actually run the White House.? Run out and get your Canadian
citizenship while supplies last.
