Forgotten
NYC, Web site review by Julie Madsen
Even native New Yorkers don’t know all the streets, sites, and
history of their great city, especially since much of it has been
covered over by time and expansion. Forgotten NYC’s
site takes you to New York City’s ‘hidden’ and overlooked
niches–some historically significant, others just odd. You can
walk down old cobblestone avenues, glimpse at headstones in
cemeteries, and find places you’d never believe were in the city.
The site also offers guided tours that are hosted by the Web site’s
curator. You may think you know New York like the back of your
hand, but you’d best look here to make doubly sure.
