Going to War for Justice, Hunter S.

In 1998, 25-year-old Denver resident Lisl Ellen Auman was convicted
of murder, an act she claims was committed by another party while
she was handcuffed in a police car. Now noted gonzo journalist
Hunter S. Thompson has taken up the cause, which has featured a May
14 Denver rally with a gathering of Thompson’s cohorts and a series
of rants about the case, the most recent in ESPN Page
2.
With winds of old-style ’20s journalism and rambunctious
’60s political activism, Thompson strangely reassures the soul
while stimulating the intellectual adrenaline.
