HalfBakery.com, Web site review by Chris
Dodge
Remember riding on an adult’s shoulders as a child? What if adults
could hire the services of brawny people to carry THEM around? Such
half-baked ideas for new businesses, products, and services can be
found on Halfbakery.com, an interactive ‘communal
database of invention and speculation’ for people with playful
minds. Arranged by category and subcategory, hundreds of ideas
ranging from the absurd (intestinal flue) to the plausible (folding
chopsticks) are rated by popular vote, with two and a half
croissants denoting the highest approval, and two and half
fishbones the worst. Pre-formed cream cheese rings for bagels,
anyone?
