If your stance on nuclear reactors has been ‘not in my backyard,’
you may be surprised to learn that, according to the stats on this
Greenpeace Web site, there are currently 103
operating reactors in the continental U.S., and the chances of
having one around your neighborhood might be greater then you
think. Even if you’re miles away, you could still be within the
reactor’s ‘injury range.’ To find the nuclear reactor nearest you,
(and the consequences for you following an accident at the site,)
type your zip code into this ‘nuclear power locator.’
