With only a doctor’s permission, Canadians can now grow their own
marijuana for medicinal purposes, according to The Herb
Quarterly
(Winter 2001/2002). The measure passed over the
objections of the Canadian Medical Association, which argued that
the herb’s 3,000-year track record of medicinal efficacy is
insufficient evidence.
