SafeChild.net, the new Web site from the Consumer Federation of
America, is ‘the most comprehensive child safety site on the
Internet’ for parents, professionals, and advocates alike.
SafeChild.net includes a searchable database of toys that have been
recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission,
information on at-home safety topics such as indoor air pollutants
and smoke alarms, and outdoor safety information on the dangers of
escalators, amusement park rides, dumpsters, and more.
Additionally, the site relates timely information on how to make
your home safe for the holidays, by reducing the hazards of
decorations, ornaments, trees and candles.
