Your Action Requested: FCC Media Ownership Regulations

On Monday, June 2, the Federal Communications Commission is set
to adopt new regulations which would relax the rules on media
ownership, allowing control of the television, radio and print
markets to fall into even fewer hands. We at Utne strongly
oppose this move, and urge you to do the same.

There is still time to delay the vote and allow for an open,
democratic debate about this important issue.

Please take a moment now to call the office of FCC Chairman
Michael Powell at at (202) 418-1000 and urge him to delay the June
vote. Then go to
http://moveon.org/fcccall.html
and let the folks at MoveOn.org know that you made the call.
