Barnet is that refreshingly contrarian commentator who keeps talking about the “new world economic order” on public radio’s Marketplace. A long-standing critic of the role corporations are playing internationally, he is co-founder and co-director of the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C., an independent center for research and education on international and domestic public policy issues. His books include Global Reach, The Lean Years, and Global Dreams: Imperial Corporations and the New World Order.
