Thich Nhat Hanh

Hanh makes meditation seem simple, but he doesn’t pretend it’s easy. One of the most influential spiritual leaders of our time, this soft-spoken Vietnamese poet and Buddhist monk teaches and exemplifies a life based on mindfulness, a deep awareness of what is going on within oneself and in the world. The author of a number of books, including Peace Is Every Step, Being Peace, and The Miracle of Mindfulness, he resides in southwestern France, where he teaches, writes, gardens, and helps refugees. He travels frequently to conduct retreats and workshops on “the art of mindful living.”
