RNC: Jeremy Scahill on Republican National Convention Protesters

<p>Walking up to the RNC demonstrations this morning, passing by the Barack Obama supporters, the <a title=”Truthers” href=”https://www.utne.com/politics/towers-of-babble.aspx” target=”_self”>Truthers</a>, and the Code Pink protesters, the first person I ran into was Jeremy Scahill. He’s an investigative reporter for <i>Democracy Now!</i>, the <i>Nation</i>, and author of the book <i>
<a title=”Blackwater: The Rise of the World’s Most Powerful Mercenary Army” href=”http://blackwaterbook.com/” target=”_blank”>Blackwater: The Rise of the World’s Most Powerful Mercenary Army</a>
</i>. He gave a great intro to what he thinks these protests are all about.</p>
