I would be remiss not to mention the fact that Al Gore has jointly won the Nobel Peace Prize with the scientists on the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change.
The newswires are buzzing with talkofGorerunningforpresident. Personally, I like the German newspaper Spiegel’s take on the issue. Marc Pitzke writes that Gore “hovers far above the swamp of an election campaign, with its mudslinging, tedious debates and populism in the provinces.” He’s too big for the presidential campaign, says Pitzke, and always will be.
