New Monitor Slays Vampire Power

Computer monitors are notorious energy vampires–sucking up electricity even after the appliance has been shut off. PsyOrg.com reports that Fujitsu Siemens Computers could soon end the monitors’ reign of energy-wasting terror with the release of a new, “zero-watt monitor.” It’s uses no energy when it slips into standby mode, potentially saving electricity and money for computer users when it goes on sale this summer.
