McDonald’s restaurants in Sweden have gotten an environmental makeover, courtesy of The Natural Step, an organization preaching ecological and economic sustainability. As Environment (June 1999) reports, the burger chain now offers organic milk and beef, and about half of its 180 restaurants in the country run on renewable energy.
